Start Guide

One Horizon automatically captures your output from GitHub, Linear, Jira, and your Google Calendar to provide you with daily recaps - so you never have to write another status update.

Developers save hours. Leads get instant clarity. No workflow changes required.

One Horizon is in active beta. If something feels off, please tell us. We ship fixes daily.

What you need to get started

One Horizon works best when connected to your real work tools. You don't need permission to sign up, but to get full value (not just demo data), you'll need access to connect:

  • GitHub – Capture commits, pull requests, and code contributions Personal
  • Linear or Jira – Capture issues and project work Personal
  • Google Calendar – Capture meetings, events, and time management Personal
  • Slack – Send recaps, summaries, and updates to your channels Workspace

I have permission to connect tools (or I'm pretty sure I do)

Jump straight to the setup below.

I need to check with my team first

Not sure if you're allowed? That's common. Explore the demo first (by creating an account and skipping the integration steps), then use our pitch guide to ask your lead. Most teams approve within a day once they understand what One Horizon does and how much value it can provide.

I have permission to connect

You can start immediately and see value in under 5 minutes.

1. Create your workspace

The fastest way is through Slack—it sets up your workspace and guides you through connecting GitHub and your calendar. Or sign up directly in 30 seconds.

Install on SlackSign up directly

2. Connect your tools

After signing up, connect:

  • GitHub – Capture commits, pull requests, and code contributions
  • Google Calendar – Capture your meetings, events, and time management
  • Linear or Jira – Capture issues and project work

You don't have to connect all integrations at once. Any integration can always later be added or removed from your integration settings.

3. Get your first daily recap

Once connected, open your Daily Recap. You'll immediately see:

  • Completed tasks generated from your commits, meetings, and work activity
  • Your short-term priorities that matter now, not your full backlog
  • A narrative recap tying everything together

4. Invite your team when ready

One Horizon works solo, but becomes far more valuable when your whole team uses it:

  • Invite your teammates from the dashboard
  • They'll receive an invite via email or Slack
  • Once connected, check the Team view to see everyone's work side by side

Ready to pitch your lead? Use the pitch guide to explain the value in 5 minutes.

I need to check with my team first

You can still explore One Horizon without connecting any tools. Just sign up, skip the integrations and play around in a sandbox environment.

Explore with demo data

Sign up and you'll see sample data showing how One Horizon works. Try the daily recap, journal, and team views without connecting GitHub or other tools.

Sign up and explore

Once you have approval, you can connect your real tools and the demo data will be replaced with your actual work.

Get approval from your lead

When you're ready to use One Horizon with your real work data, you might need permission to connect GitHub, Linear, or Jira at the team/org level.
