Taxonomy Types
Taxonomy Types are the categories available for grouping and analyzing work.
Workspace taxonomy types
Goals
Goals connect work to strategic outcomes such as stability, onboarding, activation, or enterprise readiness.
Companies
Companies represent customers, clients, accounts, partners, or other organizations. They answer questions such as how much work is tied to a specific customer or account.
Products
Products represent product lines, modules, or product areas. They show where effort is concentrated across the product.
Skills
Skills describe the capability involved in the work, such as frontend, backend, infrastructure, design, or documentation.
Coding Tools
Coding Tools identify AI coding tools involved in the work, such as Codex, Cursor, Claude Code, or Windsurf.
Agents
Agents identify agent-assisted work so Insights and roadmap reporting can show where agents contributed.
Automatic taxonomy signals
Taxonomy can also be inferred from captured work when the signal is clear. Topic labels are separate from taxonomy types.
