Standup Meeting

Learn how to navigate and participate in One Horizon standup meetings effectively.

Standup meetings in One Horizon are designed to be efficient, focused, and productive. Each meeting follows a structured format to ensure everyone has a chance to contribute and stay informed.

Joining the Meeting

  1. Waiting Room: Review the meeting agenda and participants
  2. Meeting Start: Click "Start Meeting" when ready

Meeting Interface

  • Current Speaker: Highlighted participant sharing their update
  • Timer: Track meeting duration and individual speaking time
  • Update: Update discussed tasks just like you do in your recap
  • Actions: Capture action items and follow-ups

Time Management

Speaking Time

  • Default Duration: 2-3 minutes per person
  • Timer Display: Visual countdown for each speaker
  • Time Alerts: Gentle indication when time is running out
  • Flexible Timing: You can always continue when needed

Meeting Flow

  1. Individual Updates: Each team member shares their status
  2. Discussion: Address blockers and questions

Task Visibility

What's Shown

  • Worked On: Tasks completed since last standup
  • Planned: Upcoming priorities and commitments
  • Blockers: Issues preventing progress

Visibility Settings

  • Custom Tasks: You can toggle the visibility for your team
  • Integration Tasks: You cannot toggle the visibility for your team as your team could see it through the integration anyway (e.g. by looking it up in Jira) and we don't want to set false expectations of privacy for these tasks
