Work Inbox
Work Inbox gathers actionable work in one place: comment threads that need a reply, @mentions, and workflow human review gates waiting for a decision.
Open the inbox
Select the bell button labeled Work Inbox in the main menu search bar or in the task detail title bar. The badge shows how many open items you have.
The inbox opens as a drawer from the left side of the dashboard.
Inbox items
Items appear newest first. Each card shows who triggered the event, which task or initiative it belongs to, a short description, and when it arrived.
| Category | Examples | Needs action |
|---|---|---|
| Actionable | @mentions, comments on your work, workflow review requests, review escalations, review reassignments, stalled workflow steps | Yes — the left border is highlighted and the item stays until you respond or resolve it |
| Informational | Replies to your comments, reactions, assignments, status changes, deleted tasks, snooze expirations | No — select Dismiss to clear the item |
Act without leaving the inbox
Actionable items expose controls on the card:
| Item type | Inline actions |
|---|---|
| Comment or @mention | Reply in the textarea, then select Reply |
| Workflow review request, escalation, or reassignment | Approve, Feedback, Reject, or Reassign |
Feedback and Reject require a message. Reassign opens reviewer or team selectors.
Stalled workflow steps appear as actionable items but do not expose inline review controls. Open the task context to investigate.
Completing an inline action removes the item from the inbox.
Open task context
Select Open context on any card to open the linked task or initiative detail view. Comment-related items scroll to the matching thread. Workflow items scroll to a Workflow inbox context section with the run ID, step name, elapsed wait time, and route details.
Human review configuration and route behavior are documented in Building Workflows. Comment threading is documented in Comments.
Outbound standup reminders, email, and Slack delivery are separate from Work Inbox. Configure those channels in Notifications.
