More agent runtimes, visual writing, and workflow visibility

August 2, 2026

Highlights:

  • OpenCode, Pi, and Mistral Vibe agent runtimes
  • Wiremark and Mermaid diagrams in writer mode
  • Direct agent assignments in Workflow Runs
  • File download and upload activity in agent sessions

This week expands the agents you can run and makes their work easier to follow. Writer mode can now produce visual planning material, and direct assignments appear alongside regular workflow runs.

OpenCode, Pi, and Mistral Vibe

The agent setup flow now includes curated OpenCode and Pi runtimes, plus Mistral Vibe as a first-class choice. Runtime selection has a simpler layout, and custom runtimes can be edited or removed from the same flow.

The setup screen distinguishes One Horizon-provided runtimes from custom definitions and shows a concrete next action when a runtime still needs installation, consent, or sign-in.

Diagrams in writer mode

Writer mode can add Wiremark wireframes and supported Mermaid diagrams to initiative and bug descriptions. Generated visuals use the same validation path as workflow planning, reducing broken diagrams in finished drafts.

One view of agent work

Direct Plan, Code, Review, and Research assignments now appear in Workflow Runs instead of being hidden from the overview. Agent sessions also record when an image or other attached file is downloaded or uploaded, making visual work easier to verify.

When a run stalls or fails, Report issue can collect the relevant workflow context after confirmation. Notifications have clearer filters, actions, and unread indicators.

Improved

  • Jira-backed views avoid loading every board and sprint before showing work
  • Integration settings and connection states are easier to scan
  • Local-only workflow changes land in the base branch more reliably, including conflict handling through an Integrate step
  • Generated workflow artifacts use clearer names and labels
  • Success messages can link directly to the finished result

Fixes

  • Task and initiative links open reliably in Safari, Dashboard, and Desktop
  • Expired Claude authentication shows sign-in guidance instead of a raw error
  • Custom runtimes start more reliably from Desktop and CLI
  • Worktree preparation failures no longer permanently strand a workflow
  • Awaiting-input and review notifications are delivered consistently
  • MCP access remains available for Claude headless runs when enabled
